The Shores Resort & Spa: Oceanfront Hotel in Daytona Beach

Part of our 2020 travel plans included many international trips! That was until COVID happened....but Florida is full of beauty and is such a large state! So we set off on explorations of the state and spend a lovely weekend at The Shores Resort and Spa in Daytona Beach!

Though the hotel did not have their restaurant open at the time we went in October 2020 due to COVID, we really enjoyed our stay here! Book through their website for special deals for sure and see what they can offer!

We stayed in one of the their Terrace Rooms, on the 6th floor actually which is the best Terrace room in the hotel as it is super private!! Enjoyed a cheese and wine welcome platter as well when we got into our room! This luxury room had a wraparound furnished balcony with a comfy lounge set to tan in with an umbrella and sectional to relax in as well, It was all so perfect to soak in the sun enjoy the view of the ocean from all windows in this corner room!

Room service was also not available, but we could go down to the lounge area and get our drinks and food and bring it back to the room.

The sounds of the waves crashing 24 hours a day made us never want to leave! In fact, we tanned from our balcony and drank mimosas from it! Luckily we had a mini fridge which was perfect for storing OJ and champagne!

The pool area is great with cabanas for rent with food and drink service. We of course had to take that in! And if you want to go to the beach, it's only a stairway away! They do not offer beachside service, but there is a company there with chairs and umbrellas for you.
