Caná Wine Shop Tasting in Coral Gables

Did you hear? Coral Gables has a new wine shop on Ponce! And it's got all the boutique wines you probably never thought of! They've only been open for a little over 2 months, and if you haven't experienced their selection, you need to make it in!

This unique group of people dreamt of opening a wine shop one day. They range from journalists to chefs and all have so much knowledge about the wines they bring in. They can help you pair with meals at home and all!

With COVID restrictions still in effect, they are going to begin offering safe wine tastings by appointment only for limited amounts of people to stay safe.

From Thursday-Saturday they have free sample tastings in the main room so you can sample before you purchase! Watch the video below to see how we went from the shop to home with our bottle!

A small group of us enjoyed this private wine tasting with some exceptional South African wines that Elizabeth from Wine Bow taught us about.

Did you know, South Africa’s wine industry suffered a major blow during the pandemic when the government imposed a shutdown of all alcohol sales when the cases began to rise! This even including the export of wines out of the country! This led to a 1920’s style prohibition in an attempt to save their wines! Unfortunately, lots of damage has been done to this remarkable wine region as the bans were lifted slowly, so being able to sample their wines and purchase them helps support their community again! Hundreds of millions of dollars were lost, hundreds of thousands of jobs were lost, this pandemic struck so many all around the world! So let’s support each other as we all recovery again!
